Disclosure
Affiliate and advertising disclosure
thekingofquacks.com is free to read. It is paid for in two ways, and we want you to know exactly how.
Amazon affiliate links
Some links to books on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Taciturn Studios LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We recommend books because they are useful for understanding this history, not because of commissions, and affiliate links never change what we write.
Display advertising
We show a small number of ads served by Google AdSense, clearly labeled “Advertisement.” We do not choose the individual ads, and an ad appearing here is not an endorsement. Ads are kept out of the story’s interactive features, and we do not use pop-up, sticky or anchor ads. See our privacy policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.
The book
This site is the companion to The King of Quacks by C. V. Wooster, published by Taciturn Studios LLC, the same company that publishes this site. Links to the book are self-promotion.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the California State University or the Desert Studies Center.
